Rev. Dallas Thompson, MDiv

Rev. Dallas Anne Thompson is the Spiritual Health Fellow for Emory Winship at St.  Joseph’s, Johns Creek, and Buford. She is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA). She has served in pastoral care roles at First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville, Georgia since 2016. Dallas attended the University of North Georgia, majoring in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. Before transitioning into ministry, she spent ten years as a public school teacher, teaching 3rd, 5th, and 7th grades, specializing in history and English. Dallas later earned a Masters of Divinity degree from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur and recently completed her residency with Northeast Georgia Health System. There, she focused her learning on spiritual health in intensive care units, emergency departments, and palliative care.

Dallas was born and raised in Gainesville, where she still lives with her husband Josh and son Ashton, their dog, and two cats. Ashton has recently been accepted to Western Carolina University where he major in music education. Dallas loves spending time with her family and is looking forward to weekends in Asheville with her husband, watching their son play in the WCU Pride of the Mountains Band. Her favorite things include fiction novels, cozy blankets, and donuts – in no particular order.
