Johan Shin, BA, MDiv
Rev. Johan Shin comes from a background of diverse cultures. He was born in Seoul, Korea, grew up in Christchurch, New Zealand. He came to the US after graduating from University of Auckland with B.S degree, for his M.Div. at San Franciso Theological Seminary. Johan is an ordained minister of Presbyterian Church (USA) and has served churches in California, Korea, and Alaska. He's married to a Korean immigrant from Paraguay and they are now raising two 'third cultured kids'.
He had his first CPE in 2003, at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in Berkeley, CA, then after 16 years of parish work, he came back for another CPE at Northside Hospital Gwinnet and now continues his learning process through CCSH Fellowship program at Emory.
He is a father of two teenagers, a self-claimed family chef, a recovering rock music fan, and an amateur coffee enthusiast.
