Rev. Leroygo Shedrick, MDiv serves as Manager of Spiritual Health and Community Care for the DeKalb Operating Unit, which includes Emory Decatur Hospital, Emory Hillandale Hospital, and Emory Long-Term Acute Care Hospital. In this role, he provides leadership for the Spiritual Health team, ensuring compassionate care for patients, families, and staff while fostering community outreach and clergy collaboration. A native of Atlanta, Rev. Shedrick has served Emory Healthcare as a Chaplain Fellow specializing in Behavioral Health and is a Registered Compassion-Centered Spiritual Health (CCSH™) Clinician. He previously trained as a Chaplain Intern at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital and as a Resident at Emory Wesley Woods. He is an APC Board-Certification Candidate, ordained and endorsed by the World Council of Independent Christian Churches. Rev. Shedrick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Argosy University and a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Care and Counseling from the Interdenominational Theological Center, where he graduated summa cum laude. He is also a long-standing member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia and a founding member of the Atlanta Police Department Clergy Police Academy. His work is grounded in a simple mission: to walk alongside others with tools that nurture emotional wellness, spiritual connection, and hope.
