Young Ko, MDiv
Young serves as the Director of Spiritual Health at Emory Johns Creek Hospital, where he provides strategic and operational leadership for spiritual care services. He also provides spiritual and emotional support throughout the units of Emory Johns Creek Hospital. He has served in various capacities starting in the summer of 2019 including resident chaplain, CCSH Fellow, staff chaplain and interim director. His passion is in providing compassionate care to all.
Young graduated from the University of Georgia with two undergraduate degrees in Journalism and Turfgrass management. He earned his Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He is a certified CBCT instructor, an APC board-certified chaplain and a CCSH registered clinician. His academic foundation and clinical experience continue to shape and guide his approach in providing spiritual care.
Young lives in the greater Atlanta area with his spouse, daughter and son. They keep him very busy, but he loves being a husband and dad. He also enjoys nature, music, sports, and good coffee.
