Thelma Boa Sorta Goodrum, BA, MDiv

Thelma is from Brazil where she served for 25 years as a missionary in several different cities. Her work involved coordinating the social work project for children at risk with educational support, teaching Sunday school and being secretary of the church.

She has a Bachelor of Theology from the Theological Seminary of Londrina, Paraná, Brazil (This degree is equivalent to the Master of Divinity Program in the United States), and a Bachelor of Education in Letras from Guarujá, São Paulo, Brazil with a major in English & Portuguese. After her ordination she continued to serve as co-pastor focusing on being a Sunday School teacher, promoting an ecumenical partnership with the women and men from the Catholic community and visiting church members when they were in the hospital. She is ordained and endorsed by the United Presbyterian Church of Brazil and the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta.
